A novel new late-night comedy night has been created by UK-based American comedian and pundit Erich McElroy. The Imperfect Guide to the Presidential Debates is the latest addition to the UK's rich and varied comedy scene and looks set to be a free world hit.
The first event will take place on Wednesday 28 October, for next Republican Party debate broadcast live on CNBC.
On this inaugural night American ex-pats, political nerds and comedy wonks can join Erich McElroy and guests Dave Fulton, David Mills, Grainne Maguire, Nick Revell, Steve Gribbin and more, for an evening of comedy, music and a look at what the hell is happening in the American presidential race.
After the comedy, the assembled can settle in to watch the Republican Debate live - with commentary, boos, jeers and cheers provided by the comics and audience into the wee hours.
"This isn’t for the politically faint of heart" explains Erich, "it’s for folk who want to see history made. Will Donald Trump’s hair slide off and reveal a black hole? Will Ben Carson say something that will finally make him think - maybe I have gone too far? Will Jeb Bush prove he actually has a pulse?"
If you love US politics and don’t love going to work the next day. This is the show for you.
